The Smokey Mountains National Park was opened in 1940. In 1941 various souvenirs were made for sale. This piece appears to be of solid brass and made during the early years of the park. It is a great piece from the parks history or for anyone who has followed the Great Cherokee Nation. I have seen these listed for up to $59 on other sites in worse shape. This would be a great token for a Boy Scout or history buff.
