Thus was my Grandmother's 50 year membership award metal. It was from the naturfreunde or friends of nature club in Goettingen, West Germany. I don't know what year she received it but she passed in 2008 at the age of 95.5 years old. It come with a small pin she used to wear on her coats. It does look like the was a bale at the top so you can wear it as a necklace. The pin is perfect. It comes in a blue box.
