BATTERY OPERATED MOD MONSTER - BLUSHING FRANKENSTEIN" TOY — Made in Japan by Nomura Toys/Louis Galoob. c. 1960s.This is the second version of this classic toy, referred to as the "Mod Monster." Instead of usual Frankenstein Monster-style clothes, this monster wears Nehru jacket (missing medallion necklace, easily replaced). Base design differs slightly from the earlier version as well. Toy does NOT work. Normally, Frankenstein produces a screeching noise as he moves his upper body and arms. His pants then fall to expose underwear as his face lights red as if embarrassed. This toy is great for the collector or for someone who can repair him. Great overall visual condition. Major Halloween collector piece.
