Overview: Up for sale is this a lovely oil painting on stretched canvas by listed Los Angeles, California artist, Lorraine Pelman (1915-2009). Ms. Pelman was a very active artist and member of the Beverly Hills Art League. This piece depicts a Japanese town and mountainscape. I love the pops of white cherry tree blossoms and the sense of distance in this piece. It is signed "Lorraine Pelman" at lower right (I acquired this piece amongst a number of Ms. Pelman's paintings recently). Undated, but I'd estimate that this dates to the 1970's or 1990's. It is stretched, but unframed.
Condition: Painting is in very good condition. Minor toning and very minor edge wear.
Measurements: Painting measures 24 inches high x 12 inches wide.
